POSITION        : Director, Business Development (Europe)

LOCATION      : Europe

COMPANY       : Our client is a leader in the Electronics Manufacturing Services Industry



Responsible for executing the Company’s business interests in Europe through the marketing of the Company’s Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Contract Design Manufacture (CDM) to meet company’s objectives for revenue, gross margins and organic growth



  • Develop strategic relationships with prospective customers including Healthcare, Lifescience, Test and Measurement, Industrial, Aerospace & Defense, Print & Imaging, Retail and Financial Solutions, Computing, Networking and Storage, Communications, Mobility Solutions, and Consumer Technology
  • Analyze, map out and coordinate direction and strategies for Targeted Markets
  • Develop excellent networking strategies and relationships with governments, investors, institutions and businesses as it relates to the Target Markets
  • Support the day-to-day needs of the targeted potential customers as well as existing customers and business partners as assigned
  • Utilizing a hunter mentality, grow and manage the available opportunities as required to recognize meaningful revenue
  • Utilize CRM tools and follow internal company processes to ensure development activities are documented and coordinated well
  • Possess deep understanding of the Company’s organization, capabilities and marketing strategy
  • Possess deep understanding of target markets and monitor and evaluate technology and market trends
  • Utilize active listening skills to determine the customers real needs, wants and likes, and then fashion and present a solution that results in new or increased revenue



  • Minimally to have an Engineering Degree, with relevant industry experience
  • Previous Tier 1 or Tier 2 EMS / contract manufacturing experience are strongly desired
  • Global Account Management experiences in the EMS industry a plus
  • Niche market business develop experience in the Company’s Target Markets is highly desirable
  • Experience in supply chain/operations in an electronics manufacturing environment with emphasis in business development
  • Must have solid operations and commercial knowledge (commercial contracts, pricing and quotation, terms and conditions), as well as good contract negotiation skills and deep understanding of integrated value chain services including design, manufacture and lifecycle support
  • Must have financial training with P&L understanding, strategic planning training and execution, operations, and troubleshooting skills
  • Must have good leadership and cross-functional team building skills and a good knowledge of product realization processes
  • Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, foreign language skills in countries of interest strongly desirable
