Business General Manager (Printing & Imaging for ODM/OEM Market)

Job description

This is a newly created position, designed to participate actively in the growth & profitability objectives of the Company. The focus is to strengthen the product and solutions portfolio in the area of color on demand and logistics solution printing and other industrial printing, seeking expansion of present customer base with primary objectives of introducing product & solutions concepts with licensed and home grown technology of cutting edge capability to provide the best printing solutions in the industrial and logistics markets. Market segment will cover desktop labelling to mini press solutions.


Product & Solutions Growth Roadmap and New Business Opportunities

Work with the Labs Group GM and Group CEO, CFO:

  • Working with the Group management to develop plan and execute world wide product and solutions road map
  • Map and execute go to market strategy for global markets
  • Develop effective go to market channels globally, i.e. Reseller channels, direct sales, distributors
  • Manage marketing communication and continue to strengthen the brand value
  • Manage large account customer relationship
  • Manage and develop global sales and support organization
  • Manage and meet financial goals

Identify new opportunities in terms of solutions or products with at least one to two impactful product ideas a year

Hire & build a strong business development team to grow appropriate customer base & manage this as a business with effective business plans to ensure financial & operational goals are met, including driving the sales target


People Development, Teamwork and Networking

  • Develop a culture of talent development and ensure key/critical positions succession pipeline
  • Encourage and forge cohesive teamwork and partnership within site, across the organisation
  • Cultivate positive business and professional relationship with relevant stakeholders in the locality & country of operations
  • Review and ensure the site’s policies, procedures, health and safety program and internal controls are in place to ensure business practices are in compliance to quality standards, local laws, regulations and Corporate governance


Other Responsibilities

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics, etc.).   A Master Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics from a recognised university is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with global industry domains e.g. Printing and Imaging, Medical, Financial Transactions etc
  • Managed large business entity (in excess of US$100 million annually) at a senior level for at least 3 years
  • Understand the eco systems from product development, market segments, sales channels, end users requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ODM Sales Channels to OEMS
